Are you feeling blue?

Updated: May 6, 2019

It’s no surprise that in our technological era, the amount of time we spend with our faces glued to screens constantly increases! Do you ever find yourself aimlessly scrolling, or even caught in the “before bed” sessions we have all made into a nightly habit? Well…you are probably a victim of the blue light monster!! Don't get us wrong, we love the color blue, but we're not a fans of the effects we found it has on our health and well-being. Let us explain…

What you may not know is how this blue light is playing games with your circadian rhythms, keeping you awake. Staring at a screen long enough can impact your general health, such as eyesight, resulting in headaches, physical/mental fatigue, and strain.

Luckily, we've had a chance to partner up with an entrepreneur duo, the ladies behind the online company Azzibella. This team of women are taking the leap to reverse these effects with the use of blue light blocking glasses.

There are so many different style and color options, truly something there for everyone! Not to mention such fun names for each pair! (some of our favorites include; Barely There, Coach, CEO, Detention, and Scholar!)

We are super excited to offer our readers a discount if you purchase a pair through Azzibella using code: dance15 you will receive 15% off your order.

There may be many companies out there, but we love supporting these wonderful women and their quality products.

Here is a little more info on the blue light craze, straight from the pros at Azzibella!:

What is Blue Light?

Blue light is a color in the visible light spectrum that can be seen by the human eye. Blue light is a short wavelength, which means it produces higher amounts of energy.

How does Blue Light impact you?

Studies show that exposure to artificial blue light can cause eyestrain, fatigue, headaches, and sleeplessness.

Where is Blue Light?

The number one contributor to blue light is actually the sun, which used to be the only source of blue light. Now we have brought blue light indoors with digital screens (found on TVs, smartphones, computers, laptops, tablets and gaming systems)

Concerns about Blue Light Exposure?

Excess exposure to blue light can cause digital eyestrain; physical and mental fatigue, headaches and may even lead to macular cellular damage, which may lead to loss of vision.

Our eyes have not evolved to provide adequate filters against this type of artificial light. It’s difficult to think that over the course of a lifetime that light damages them but exposure to all types of visible and non-visible light happens continuously and it has a direct impact on our body

It’s impossible to stop the transmission of light but we can certainly filter what experts have learned as potentially damaging high-energy visible light and prevent it from harming us over a lifetime.

How can Azzibella help you?

We have an incredible line of Blue Light blocking glasses that are stylish, affordable and guaranteed to protect your eyes from the harmful effects of blue light!

A word from the owners:

We are women entrepreneurs and this is our first company. It’s strictly an online business. I personally suffer from eye strain and headaches from sitting in front of a computer all day at work and Christie’s suffers with light sensitivity and they get watery so we looked into solutions and decided on cute stylish blue light glasses. We are also both notorious before bed Instagram scrollers. We’ve definitely noticed a difference in sleep quality and less headaches and eye fatigue since using them daily. Plus they are affordable and so cute on!

So there you have it. We hope you take a chance to check out their store HERE. Don’t forget 15% off with code: dance15

Look after those eyes friends!

Much Love,
